Contented Dementia Workshops

For adult children care partners caring for a parent(s) living with dementia.

  • Review and practice SPECAL skills and principles
  • Prepare for developing SPECAL Passport for loved ones needing to transition to homecare or care communities
  • Discuss counter-intuitive strategies to build confidence in positively managing challenging situations

Prerequisite: SPECAL introductory sessions (Part 1 & 2)

Registration is required. This is an 8-workshop series, signing up for the first workshop signs you up for all of them.

Requirements agreed to by registrants:

  • Evaluations at the end of each session
  • Pre and post course Colorado State University assessments for evidence-based research aimed at promoting best practice in dementia care and examining impact of care partner well-being.

Workshops are 5:00 – 6:30 pm via Zoom

Zoom link will be sent before each class.
